This notice explains how Siena UpTown collects and uses personal data of people who visit this website, contact us or book an apartment (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR").

Data we collect and why
Requests and bookings. When you write to us (email, phone, WhatsApp, contact form) or book through the website we process your name, contact details, stay dates, guests and the content of your message, plus the data needed to complete the booking and payment. Legal basis: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
Legal obligations. For guests we must collect and communicate identity data to the authorities (guest registration) and handle tax and accounting records. Legal basis: legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR).
Website statistics (Google Analytics). Only if you accept analytics cookies, we collect aggregated information about visits (pages viewed, approximate origin, device). Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
Technical data. Like every website, our server records technical logs (IP address, date, pages requested) for security and operation. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR).
Who receives your data
Data are not sold. They are processed by providers acting on our behalf: web hosting (Aruba S.p.A., Italy), email and booking management tools, payment providers when you pay online and, only with your consent, Google Ireland Limited for Google Analytics and Google Maps. Where data are transferred to Google LLC in the United States, the transfer relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. We may also communicate data to public authorities where required by law.
How long we keep data
Requests: up to 24 months after the last contact. Bookings and accounting records: 10 years, as required by tax law. Analytics data: 14 months. Technical logs: a few weeks.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. On first visit a banner lets you accept all, reject all or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and you can change your choice at any time with the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page.

Fonts are hosted on this website: no data is sent to Google for them. The map and analytics are loaded only after you consent.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing and withdraw consent (without affecting prior processing) by writing to sabrina@sienauptown.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
